We reimagine the possible across the nuclear industry every day.About the role:As a Civil Structural Engineer you will be responsible for analysis and design activities.You will report to the Manager, Layout & Design, and be located at the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes with a hybrid work schedule (remote and in-office). This is a full-time role.Key Responsibilities:
Perform technical engineering tasks and act as approver of the work of others in analyses and design activities in the range of technical competencies
Resolve technical issues, justify designs, collect and interprete engineering data, develop project design basis, details, specifications, technical reports, calculations and sizing analysis, and originate detailed engineering.
Verify drawings, design reviews, engineering change control documents, engineering reports, and calculation notes
Ensure conformance to applicable engineering codes and standards and company procedures
Ensure work delivered is within the defined scope and completed to time and budget, addressing commercial impacts
Produce documentation that is technically accurate, grammatically correct, and correctly formatted and presented
Develop the formal project when it requires construction or installation permit from Spanish authorities, signing as author
Collaborate and communicate with global teams (senior engineers, designers)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (member of the applicable professional association)
5+ years of experience in similar role in nuclear, oil & gas, energy, or civil construction industry
Hand calculations, code check, FEA modeling and analysis, static and dynamic analysis, seismic analysis
Standards, regulations, codes, and directives and how they are applied (Structural Eurocodes, Spanish Structural Code)
Nuclear codes like ACI, AISC, ASME)
Nuclear regulatory guides and instructions (NRC, CSN)
Spanish and European standards (UNE EN ISO)
Software skills: ANSYS, GTStrudl, RFEM
Fluent in English and Spanish
Driver's license
Ability for occasional travel to client facilities
