- Develop and improve electrical models for grid connection studies, ensuring accurate simulations and effective implementation of specific functions/features.
- Conduct comprehensive grid connection analysis using sophisticated simulation tools such as DIgSILENT PF, PSS/E, PSCAD, MATLAB & Simulink PowerFactory, and EMTP-RV.
- Leverage knowledge of programming languages like Python and DPL to optimize model performance and streamline simulation processes.
- Analyze simulation results to identify performance gaps and propose targeted improvements for enhanced modeling accuracy.
- Validate and benchmark wind turbine models against reference data to ensure reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Document all activities thoroughly, including design and validation reports, and provide ongoing support to customers regarding simulation model issues, while actively participating in the development of the company's electrical modeling roadmap..
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical power engineering modeling and simulation, demonstrating a strong understanding of the field.
- High level of proficiency in English B2+, both written and spoken, to optimally communicate technical concepts and collaborate with team members.
- Desirable experience with wind turbines (DFIG and/or FC technologies) or other converter-based technologies (e.g., PV, HVDC, STATCOM, Energy Storage) and generation units (e.g., hydro power plants).
- Sophisticated experience with at least one of the following simulation tools: PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory (RMS and/or EMT), PSCAD, EMTP-RV, or MATLAB & Simulink PowerFactory.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Fortran, Python, and DPL is a plus, along with strong skills in MS Office, power electronics converters control and modeling, and a proven foundation in mathematics and electrical engineering principles
