We are large enough to be trusted by our clients to solve their biggest issues and yet small enough to know our colleagues on a personal level enabling better team working and a supportive culture to develop your career goals and ambitions.About the RoleFTI’s Construction works with a wide array of sectors around the world from infrastructure to energy to petrochemicals covering a variety of topics ranging from delay and quantum analysis to organizational transformation and competitiveness improvement.We are seeking a Consultant to enter our fast-growing team to support our clients on their most pressing challenges associated with asset management from project conception to asset construction to competitiveness improvement and futureproofing of the capital project pipeline.What You’ll DoAs part of the Madrid-based team, but part of the Construction Practice, you will spend most of your time contributing to a combination of data synthesis projects for expert testimony, launching fit-for-purpose data intelligence platforms for enhanced project management, and due diligence assessments with a mix of organizational/competitiveness improvement projects for clients ranging industries from Infrastructure to Energy to Petrochemicals to Mining.You will work directly with FTI’s clients through a combination of remote and in-person engagements supporting our clients worldwide. In some project work, this will mean co-locating with the client in their home office to ensure we deliver the maximum value possible to all key stakeholdersHow You’ll GrowThis role is different from typical entry-level positions in that you will have the opportunity to work on the most pressing problems facing the C-suite of major multinational corporations. With our highly varied suite of projects, at any given point, you could have several different projects ranging from tactical short-term engagements to longer-term strategic projects we are developing for multiple clients. This means you’ll have the opportunity to juggle and prioritize your workload, while interacting with a broad range of clients.Given the nature of our business, you will also be supported to learn more about the legal and regulatory elements of the construction industry and capital investments across a wide range of industries more generally. In doing so, we believe you will be able to increase your breadth and depth of knowledge across this space at more than double the pace of traditional entry-level engineering positions.#LI-AC1QualificationsBasic Qualifications· We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science/Engineering in one of the following fields: Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or from an accredited university. Any certifications/accreditations in project management, cost control, project planning or data analytics will be highly differentiating.Required Experience· We would like you to be able to hit the ground running - therefore you will have up to 5 years of industrial experience in traditional project support/manufacturing/consulting roles or construction in premier consultancy, construction, or energy companies (e.g., , Process Engineer, Project Engineer, Cost Control Engineer, Planning Engineer).· Our work is highly focused on translating complex and opaque data into actionable plans for our clients and customers, to this end, high-level fluency is required in the following:· Planning & organizational skills. Successful candidates must be able to work with Primavera (P6).· Identification and understanding of planning concepts such as critical path, float, early and late dates… Successful candidates shall be familiar with Contract Management and Project correspondences during the execution of a Project.· Microsoft Excel (with VBA/Python programming skills a significant plus)· Microsoft PowerPoint (using advanced Add-in functionalities to maximize presentation quality)· Successful candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English with significant priority given to bilingual candidates having fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese.Additional Information
