- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the accounting team
- Accurately record financial transactions based on agreements, invoices, bank statements, and tax assessments.
- Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
- Conduct comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and perform impairment analysis and going concern assessments.
- Prepare and deliver management reports, ad-hoc financial reports, and statutory financial statements while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g., VAT filings, annual tax returns, and other regulatory reporting).
- Oversee the execution of intercompany service agreements, ensuring timely and accurate cost recharges and reconciliations for applicable entities.
- Reconcile intercompany and related-party balances.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, treasury, and tax teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date financial reporting in line with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain payroll bookkeeping records.
- Take the lead on special projects as required
- Manage and mentor a team of accountants, fostering development and performance
- You have a minimum of 5 years experience in accounting.
- You hold a degree in an associated field (e.g., accounting, control, finance).
- You have experience in team mentorship.
- You are fluent in English.
- You have a good understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
- You have previous involvement in company audits.
- You have a proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
- You have strong data entry skills and a knack for numbers.
- Your communication skills in English, both written and verbal, are strong.
- You possess advanced Excel skills.
- You bring great team energy.
