- Working as a member of the Spain New Construction Team carrying out new construction surveys against a range of Class Rules and statutory codes as directed by the Senior Project Manager.
- Working as a member of the service delivery team in Vigo carrying out surveys of equipment and components at manufacturers works and existing ship surveys against a range of Class Rules and statutory codes as directed by Vigo port team leader. This would be a secondary role during the new building projects, and later might be a main role, depending on the office workload.

- Produce the required deliverables within the agreed broad parameters in a defined format and review other employees' work where requested.

- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
- To provide support/advice within area of specialist knowledge to internal/external clients.
- Undertake administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.

- A degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd's Register within the relevant field of engineering (minimum of two years programme) or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's officer.
- Membership of an appropriate professional institution.
- Proficiency in the English and Spanish Language (written and oral) commensurate with the work and an ability to write detailed technical reports and design appraisal documents.
- Could work both independently and as part of a team, to prioritize work and meet LR and Clients' deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
- It is preferable that the individual should understand the responsibilities of a Classification Society and the interface between Class Rules and Statutory Regulations.
- Previous experience as Marine Surveyor or Owner Superintendent will be a plus. Experience as Chief Engineer or Shipbuilding Engineer would also be taken into account.
