- Implement and manage security systems across the entire organisation's network, including, web application firewalls, endpoint security solutions and email security gateway and etc.
- Proactively identify potential problems and improvements that can be made within the current security systems deployment.
- Research new security related technologies and advancements to provide recommendations for ongoing improvements to the organisation.
- Work with infrastructure engineering teams to ensure the organisation's technology platforms, including operating systems and network security devices are hardened in accordance with industry security standards.
- Cover system maintenance, troubleshooting and BAU activities for network and endpoint security solutions.
- Work with vendors where required to provide effective incident resolution.
- Maintain a detailed set of documentation related to all network and endpoint security systems and solutions.
- Participate in knowledge sharing with other members of the Corporate Security team.
- At least 2 years' experience in the cybersecurity industry.
- Experience with and in-depth understanding of Next Generation Firewall platforms. Both Cisco and Palo Alto administration and implementation experience.
- Provisioning of IDS/IPS, Proxy, Content filtering, Authentication and identity management.
- In-depth understanding of ISO model.
- Understanding of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, UDP, IPSEC, HTTP, HTTPS, routing and switching protocols, etc.).
- Extensive knowledge of the Windows, Linux and MAC operating systems.
- Extensive knowledge of the Virtualization fundamentals of both VMware ESX and Openstack.
- Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Go, Ruby).
- Must be an intelligent, articulate, consensus-building individual who can serve as an effective member of the cyber security engineering team and communicate effectively information security-related concepts.
- Must demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality of the company's internal and personnel affairs.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives or activities, and effectively make judgments in prioritising and time allocation in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to deal with changes and adapt to a changing environment.
- Ability to work well with others, with an emphasis on virtual teams across multiple time zones.
- Able to harness different skills and experience, and build a strong sense of team spirit
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively in a multi-office environment and willingness to travel to other offices overseas as required.
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills.
- Strong documentation/technical writing skills.
- Must demonstrate professionalism and maturity when working with internal business functions, peers, senior management, and vendors
- Cyber Security domain expertise
- Risk framework application and management
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent working experience preferred.
- Experience with Cisco Security solutions such as Cisco AMP, ESA, and Umbrella.
- Experience with SIEM, preferably with LogRhythm.
- Experience with cloud computing technologies.
- Understanding of data analytics and artificial intelligence.
- Security accreditation preferred (GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst, GIAC Security Administration, GIAC Systems and Network Auditor, GIAC Certified UNIX Security Administrator, GIAC Certified Windows Security Administrator (GCWN), or equivalent).
